Job Description:
During a construction project, the role of a Contract Manager is critical in overseeing the contractual aspects of the project to ensure it runs smoothly, efficiently, and within the set parameters of budget and time. The Contract Manager ensures that all contracts related to the construction project are managed effectively and in accordance with legal and organizational standards. In Nofar, the contract manager will work simultaneously on several projects in different countries and with an aggregate financial volume of billions of dollars.

Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor contract performance, ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations.
- Identify any deviations or non-compliance with contract terms, organization policies, legal requirements, and industry standards and take appropriate corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure adherence.
- Track contract milestones, deliverables, and payments, providing timely notifications and reminders for actions such as renewals and amendments.
- Maintain organized records of all project-related contracts, ensuring easy access for reference and compliance audits.
- Manage contract modifications, including change orders and variations, in response to project changes and scope adjustments.
- Work with project teams to assess the impact of changes on the project budget and timeline, and negotiate modifications with stakeholders as needed.
- Identify potential risks in contracts and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
- Address and resolve contractual disputes and claims, working closely with legal and project teams to find solutions and prevent delays.
- Develop strategies for managing contractual risks and contingencies.
- Ensure contracts adhere to legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Maintain documentation and records of interfaces, meetings, conferences and correspondences with all relevant counterparties as well as internal meetings and decisions approving any deviations from original contracts. Maintain documentation and records for audits, quality control, and reference purposes.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to construction contracts.
Requirements:
- LLB degree
- A qualified lawyer in Israel
- Minimum 3 years of experience in contract management within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction law and industry standards.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Proficiency in contract management software and other relevant tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
